for those of you googling for....

"drumstick dinette"...here it is...
mike mays, architect...designed and built it (with help from Clint Shore...).
it was part of the "dinner in the deuce" exhibit @ untitled gallery early this year...and one of the best pieces I might add...and it will be in the exhibit "multiplicity, the art of the furniture proto-type" which will showcase some of the most innovative furniture designs around...more info can be had at the following links...
mucho kudos to mike mays!

i need a deadline...

...in order to do any thing it seems...no pressure, no work...kind of stupid, but there it is...

just a cup of coffee...

a cup of coffee...such a simple thing...and yet layered in complexity...the bean, the roast, the grind and time...all lead, hopefully, to a wonderful experience...

the act of drinking a cup of coffee...a preset time for the brew to greet you when sleep releases you from bliss...a hurried stop at the Cup, for a cup, while you rush to meet the challenges of the day...a slow, enjoyable sipping among friends, discussing the directions of monarch migrations...

an invitation, is the cup...an invitation to the day...an invitation that tells you, this is your life...that reminds you this is where you live...this is where you work...this is where you come from...

I never had enough cups of coffee woth my Mom...or my Dad...I wish I had more cups to share with them...

(although I did suggest we save some cash and bury Dad's ashes in a Folgers can...to which the Funeral Home guy sat mouth open and speechless...until Mom laughed...)

So how do you like your coffee?

Hot and Black?

Blond and Sweet?

or

Cold and Bitter?
